ABSTRACT
Before the introduction of routine antenatal ultrasonography,
multicystic dysplastic kidney (MCDK) was regarded as an
uncommon anomaly which generally presented as an
abdominal mass in the newborn period. Nephrectomy was
the standard form of management.
