ABSTRACT
Genetically identical individuals joined by a part of their
anatomy and often sharing one or more organs are known as
‘conjoined twins’. This event occurs in 1:50000 to 1:100000
live births1 and it is one of the more difficult challenges of
pediatric surgery.
