C – jugular foramen − internal jugular vein (formed by inferior petrosal and sigmoid sinuses) − glossopharyngeal nerve − vagus nerve − accessory nerve

D – stylomastoid foramen − facial nerve − stylomastoid artery

E – foramen magnum − medulla and surrounding meninges − spinal roots of accessory nerve − anterior and posterior spinal and vertebral arteries

F – foramen spinosum − middle meningeal vessels

G – foramen lacerum − internal carotid artery (passes into foramen lacerum from carotid canal).
