ABSTRACT
MRI scan (D) is comparable to a CT scan if enhanced with contrast material, however, patients are unlikely to remain motionless during scanning and the modality is not as reliable when compared to CT and US scanning. Angiography (E) is an invasive procedure and the true size of the aneurysm cannot always be ascertained and so this modality is more appropriate when preparing the patient for surgical intervention.
