ABSTRACT
A 76-year-old woman is brought to accident and emergency having had a sudden onset of weakness of her right arm and leg that is associated with difficulty in speaking and occurred 90 minutes earlier.The weakness was without warning or precipitating event. The patient’s previous medical history is unremarkable other than a hysterectomy 30 years ago.
