ABSTRACT
A 17-year-old boy is referred to the endocrinology clinic with a 1-month history of paroxysms of sweating, anxiety and palpitations. He has had a thyroid tumour in the past which was successfully resected. On examination, you notice that he is tall and thin with long fingers.
