SECTION 1: Introduction At some times in life, however confident a person is, it can be hard to deal with certain difficult situations. Examples of these could be:

Sometimes people deal with these situations by losing their temper, by saying nothing or by giving in. This may leave them feeling unhappy, angry, out of control and may not actually solve the problem. When you are physically unwell and feel tired, ground down or in pain this can become an area of even greater difficulty. When people have become unwell, they often change their ways of relating to people and sometimes allow others to make decisions for them and tell them what’s best.
