ABSTRACT
The human virome may be understood as the totality of viruses that are able to infect, or may be found in, Homo sapiens [1-3]. The human viral metagenome, which may or may not be synonymous with the virome, refers to the total genetic diversity of viruses infecting humans [2,4].
