ABSTRACT
In Chapter 9, we saw that three distinct information cycles govern the healthcare system. The information coursing within these cycles ranges from operational details such as staff salaries through to complex data captured during patient care. Although some information is captured formally, a large part is left informal and is communicated without necessarily being recorded.
