ABSTRACT

For each of the following presentations of hepatomegaly, select the most likely diagnosis. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 16-year-old girl presents with a 1-week history of right lower quadrant pain, nausea and anorexia. In the last 24 hours, she has become more unwell, developing spiking fevers and rigors. On examination, she appears mildly jaundiced. Her liver is enlarged and tender to palpation.
