For each of the following people presenting with abdominal pain, select the next appropriate investigation. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 29-year-old man is admitted to the emergency department with sudden-onset, severe abdominal pain radiating to the back and with vomiting. On examination, there is tenderness and guarding in the epigastrium. His pulse is 118 beats/min and his blood pressure 96/68 mmHg.
