ABSTRACT
Since The Medical Device R&D Handbook, First Edition was written in 20032004, there has been an explosion of applications of medical applications of rapid technologies. A few of these technologies were mentioned in the rst edition. This chapter is an update on some of what has developed since that edition was published.
