Introduction The basic aspects of addiction often include abuse, tolerance, and withdrawal. Abuse is defined as a psychological feeling of wishing to get or take more and more of something, regardless of painful consequences, with or without dependence. Tolerance and withdrawal reflect dependence. Sex addiction, eating or food addiction, or Internet addiction are seen as psychological abuse (Ghaemi 2010).
