Traditionally, good technologists were chosen for supervisory positions. Though there can be some transference of skills, the majority of the skill sets necessary for management is not the same as that required for a technologist. Gayle has been a staff technologist at Pacific Imaging Center for about two years. She has enjoyed her tenure there up to this point. Gayle usually works with several part-time and full-time people, and has a good working relationship with everyone. Two of the other staff members have become her good friends, and Gayle regularly has lunch with them or they stop for a drink after work.
