ABSTRACT
Modern life would be inconceivable without synthetic or arti…cial polymers. By catalytically assisted processes, polymers of a large diversity are produced in impressive amounts; their fabrication consumes both energy and material resources. Therefore, any measure that leads to lowering the cost and increasing the quality of the polymer product, or reduces environmental impact and the costs related to it, can make the difference between the producing companies. During the last two decades we assist to an explosion of papers that deal with the topic of enzyme utilization in polymerization reactions.
