ABSTRACT
It is now over 100 years since the Swedish Nobel Prize winner Svante Arrhenius first predicted the effects of global warming due to emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere in his paper, ‘On the influence of carbonic acid in the air upon the temperature of the ground’ (Phil. Mag. & J. Sci. 237 [1896]).
