ABSTRACT
Since the early 1970s, the modeling and simulation (M&S) community has tried to define different formalisms for varied systems specifications, even though different models of the source systems existed before their computational implementations. Examples are, for instance, systems described using differential equations in the continuous domain or models operating on a discrete time base.
