ABSTRACT
It is impossible to live among other people and not be influenced by them in some way. According to Allport (1968), social psychology as a discipline can be defined as ‘an attempt to understand and explain how the thoughts, feelings and behaviours of individuals are influenced by the actual, imagined, or implied presence of others’.
