ABSTRACT
Before presenting our work, we note with pleasure the extensive work [33] performed by Professor B. M. Deb and his students on excited-state calculations for atoms by employing the Harbola-Sahni exchange potential [34,35]. We feel honored to have been invited to write a chapter in a book dedicated to Professor Deb.
