I. Introduction

Rhinitis is common in childhood and is increasing in prevalence. Symptoms of

nasal running, blocking, sneezing, and itching have effects upon the quality of

life and the comorbid associations of rhinitis such as sinusitis, otitis media,

and asthma can affect school attendance and examination performance. Unfortu-

nately rhinitis in childhood is often misdiagnosed and mistreated (1).
