ABSTRACT

Years of damaging ultraviolet light exposure manifests clinically as a sallow complexion with roughened surface texture and variable degrees of dyspigmentation, telangiectasias, wrinkling, and skin laxity [1,2]. Histologically, these extrinsic aging effects are usually limited to the epidermis and upper papillary dermis, and are therefore amenable to treatment with a variety of ablative and nonablative lasers and light sources [3].
