VASCULAR SUPPLY OF SPINE

Each radicular artery gives rise to an intercostal or a lumbar artery. Prior to entering the intervertebral foramen, each artery subdivides into three tributaries:

• One supplying the spinal nerve accompanied by the radicular artery.
