ABSTRACT
Certain types of pain originating in bony structures can simulate visceral pain. They often have a spinal origin that is confirmed by the effectiveness of the spinal treatment. However, finding objective spinal manifestations does not eliminate the subjacent viscera as the painful source because there is often an association between certain visceral conditions and a reflex cellulalgia that is painful to the pinch-roll test.
