ABSTRACT
This chapter gives a general overview of the stages of construction of the immersed section of the tunnel, showing the various methods and techniques that can be used. It covers the construction of the elements and the marine activities of float up, towing, immersion, and ballasting so that the tunnel elements are ready for the internal finishing works. Joints, foundations, earthworks, and finishing works have been covered elsewhere.
