ABSTRACT
Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMSs) are becoming widely used in the laboratories of pharmaceuticals and related industries. LIMS are typically based on client-server technology with a relational database (RDB) as a storage repository. They can be used to manage large amounts of electronic data locally, within a laboratory, or company-wide between multiple sites.
