ABSTRACT
Regulatory affairs are no exception to the trend to increase the amount of work outsourced to Contract Research Organizations (CROs). By grouping together CROs, however, it is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that contract research organizations are all of one type, just as it is easy to think that Europe is one country or that regulatory agencies are all of one mind. Unfortunately, none of these statements is true.
