The Importance of Process Water

Introduction As illustrated in the previous chapter, water, as a universal solvent, plays a key role in the preparation of the formulation. In Chapter 2, the permanent dipole moment of the water molecule resulting from an unsymmetrical distribution of electrons and its tetrahedral configuration was described and shown to be a major factor in water's role as a solvent.
