ABSTRACT
In order to carry out root end surgery, profound anaesthesia and tissue haemostasis are essential. Anaesthesia will eliminate any discomfort to the patient both during and immediately following surgery. Haemostasis improves vision at the surgical site and is essential in order to carry out effective rootend cavity preparation and filling. It will also help reduce post-surgical haemorrhage and swelling.
