ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology is a rapidly developing interdisciplinary eld of science and technology that appeared at the junction of electronics, physics, chemistry, biology, and material science. The unique properties of nanostructures, when the key role is played by the quantum properties of the substance, are used for development of new effective catalysts, sensors, displays, energy storage and conversion systems, biomedical materials and devices, etc. (Brushan 2010).
