ABSTRACT
Our study of partial dierential equations for an unknown function u and the associated conservation laws (see Chapter 2) is the motivation for our subsequent development of a discretization numerical method for obtaining the discrete operators div, grad, and curl. Note that this numerical method should have the property of approximating the continuous dierential operators div, grad, and curl at the chosen grid points (or nodes) derived from the mesh of cells covering the physical domain.
