ABSTRACT
Generally, the goal of insect and mite management in turf is to suppress the damage to a level where the desired aesthetics and health of the turf are maintained. Obviously, this implies that pests will be present and some damage will occur. The amount of pest damage that is allowable will be different for home lawns, sports turf, golf courses, and sod farms. In fact, the amount of pest damage allowable will differ signicantly within each of these turf usage areas, depending on the needs and desires of the individual owner and/or manager!
