ABSTRACT

In Chapter 8, we have successfully designed the insensitive H filters for linear continuous-time systems based on minimizing the coefficient sensitivity. However, the artificial constraints imposed on the Lyapunov matrices in Chapter 8 might lead to considerable conservativeness, where a common Lyapunov matrix was adopted for the same class of individual sensitivity functions. Thus, in this chapter, some efforts will be made in the direction of reducing the conservativeness of the analysis and design methods for improving the system’s performance.
