ABSTRACT
The working forms of the first and second laws for the control mass and control volume approaches are summarized in Table 6.1. There are many applications of these laws to the analysis of nuclear systems. It is of prime importance that the reader not only develops the proficiency to apply these laws to new situations, but also recognizes which approach (control mass or control volume) is more convenient for the formulation of the solution of specific problems.
