ABSTRACT
Figure 3.1 shows the rough development of mobile phone technology, with the newest evolution being 4G; the whole concept is to increase and speed up the delivery of mobile data. The first generation of mobiles used a mostly forgotten analog technology that served to get the mobile market off the ground. Most of the mobiles in use at the moment are in the 3G evolution of the original 2G design based on a technology called Global System for Mobile (GSM) communications.
