of seniors or dependent persons), monitoring (video surveillance, battlefields), and natural disaster management [5]. As they can be deployed in hostile environments, security is often an important element that must be taken into account [6]. However, due to their restricted resources and batteries, usual security solutions like AES or RSA cryptosystems are not relevant to provide security in communications, among other things due to their computation costs. Authors of this book have investigated the discrete chaotic dynamical system approach in [20-24, 29], providing by doing so new original and relevant solutions to security issues of WSNs like video surveillance (Section 8.1), secure scheduling (Sect. 8.1.5.1), coverage (Sect. 8.1.5.3), and aggregation of data (Sect. 8.2). All these solutions are summarized in this chapter.
