ABSTRACT
Some definitions of mathematical topology are recalled in this chapter that will be used in a further chapter to define chaotic systems. At the same time we will begin to address the topological approach of discrete dynamical systems. Readers that desire to deepen the mathematical topology are referred to the book of Laurent Schwartz [124].
