ABSTRACT
History A 55-year-old male was diagnosed as having polycystic kidneys when about 30 years old. He moved his employment to another part of the country and did not make arrangements for follow up of his renal condition. He presented to his GP with general malaise and was found to have a blood pressure (BP) of 185/115 and also a positive urine stick test for albumin and blood.
