ABSTRACT
History A 78-year-old female presents with pain and weakness of the right upper limb, drooping of her right eye first noted one month ago and a 2-week history of change and hoarsening in her voice. She describes some weight loss, general malaise and intermittent night sweats. She is a life-long smoker with moderate alcohol intake and suffers from diabetes, which is diet controlled.
