ABSTRACT

In view of her biochemistry consistent with syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone (SIADH) production, her history of vomiting and normal chest x-ray findings, a magnetic resonance image (MRI) of her head was undertaken (Figure 1.1). This showed a large pituitary-based mass with suprasellar extension (see arrow, coronal T1-weighted post-contrast image) and chiasmal displacement.
