Introduction e real challenge was how to motivate 1,000 people in the cause to improve Patient Experience. How do you make this cause their cause? e only way was to eat the elephant one bite at a time. Rhonda and now Greg knew they would get nowhere in this culture change without motivation of the masses.ere were still many mixed emotions about the transition from being a stand-alone hospital that seemed to have been swallowed up by the big guy to becoming a member of that very large system. e problem facing them was compounded by the fact that there was a huge amount of animosity from many of the employees at the takeover. It was crucial to motivate the employees so they would become willing participants in the culture change.
