ABSTRACT
Our previous examples of a system in its Efciency stage involved congurations of the existing electric grid. Specically, we considered the role of the Control functionality as well as systemwide disasters caused by Controlrelated failures. With the e-book we have to look into the future rather than the past. So, to illustrate the utility of system-level analysis for forward-looking projections, let us conduct a thought experiment in which we will apply systematic techniques discussed in previous chapters (the Three Magicians, Scale-Time-Money, etc.).
