ABSTRACT
Figure 9.1 shows the block diagram of a simple, auger-based, batch or slow pyrolysis reactor, to evaluate the pyrolysis process for various biomass materials. The important component parts are as follows:
1. An inert gas tank-the source for inert gas (or purge gas) such as nitrogen, the most common inert gas used in a pyrolyzer.
