ABSTRACT
There are a million ways to evaluate how green you are. This book has highlighted many of them. We can categorize the major factors you can look at in relation to how green you are:
• Energy savings. Energy usage is perhaps the single biggest factor in “greenness” for computing. Generating electricity and moving things around
requires energy, and most of the energy comes from fossil fuels. The less energy you use-in making something, in using it, in getting people to the right places to do their work, and in disposal of “stuff”—the better.
