ABSTRACT

Symptoms and diagnostic features BBSV causes severe mosaic symptoms on leaves, though symptom expression can vary between successive leaves. Plants are stunted and produce deformed pods. BBSV induces a brown necrosis or stain around the periphery of infected seed (387) in cultivars such as Aquadulce; however, other cultivars such as Triple White show no such effect. Yield loss may be as high as 30 to 40%.
