ABSTRACT
It is difficult to predict what will happen in the future. However, over the last decade, the attention for sustainable development has increased impressively in the concrete society nearly all over the world. National and international conferences, seminars, and workshops have been arranged in all major countries, and environmental or sustainability committees have been formed in most concrete societies, associations, and institutes. Intensified and interesting research has been initiated, and we are beginning to see promising results.
