ABSTRACT
After compiling a report through knitr, the output document may not be the end product directly. In particular, output from Rnw documents and Rmd documents often needs further compilation. The direct output from Rnw is LATEX, which can be compiled to PDF. The output from Rmd is Markdown, and what we really read is a Web page converted from Markdown.
