ABSTRACT
These aspects are described briefly in this chapter, by way of summaries, tabulated data and illustrations, and an extensive set of field photographs. Further cross reference is made as appropriate to one or more of the photographs in Chapters 4-14. Each feature can yield different information on the processes and conditions of deposition, such as energy and type of process, current type and flow direction, and depositional environment.
