ABSTRACT

Wide-coil and wide-sheet rollforming has gained acceptance in many industries for manufacturers who work to consolidate parts and increase precision and repeatability. Wide-panel rollforming equipment has risen to virtually every challenge without sacrifice to flexibility or production rates. Panel widths can be changed by methods ranging from manual removal of rolls, to rafting, to a hand crank, or to a push of a button. The manufacturer must decide where his requirements lie and choose the best, most cost-effective solution. Specifying the best system for a product or a family of products can be challenging due to a variety of options available for flexibility.
