In addition, the preparation of hybrid organic-inorganic monolithic materials has been described by many different methods on the basis of the use of highly concentrated emulsions as reaction media. Interesting hybrid monolithic foams have been prepared by incorporating nanoparticles to organic polymer foams, conferring new properties to these highly porous solid foams. For example, the use of particles with specific properties, such as superparamagnetism, allows obtaining porous materials with specific responses.
