ABSTRACT
Nowadays, the need for tendon transfers is less frequently due to lack of postoperative regrowth and poor surgical results, because of constant improvements in the quality of nerve sutures. However, the increased occurrence of traumatic avulsions and ballistic lesions has led to the same levels of requirement for restoration of function as before. These procedures have to be adapted for each patient according to the remaining motor muscles.
